LA CLAVE ES ADMINISTRAR BIEN EL TIEMPO Y PRIORIZAR TAREAS

1.- Un país sostenible implica trabajo sobre las bases de la sociedad y una forma de hacerlo es comenzar reduciendo la brecha laboral que separa hombres y mujeres. Cuéntanos Alegría, ¿Cómo manejan Uds. este tema tan importante y de gran debate en DOLE?

Dole es una compañía que promueve que las mujeres ocupen plazas de trabajo en los diferentes niveles jerárquicos de la organización. En los procesos de selección, ante la igualdad de perfil profesional y de competencias de los candidatos, siempre se da preferencia a la contratación de una mujer. Es parte ya de su cultura, y es una cultura que se vive en la compañía. Por ejemplo, en el equipo que dirijo, cuatro de las siete gerencias del área financiera son ocupadas por mujeres.

2.- Cómo profesional y mujer líder en tu sector, con una carga laboral importante y una responsabilidad demandante, ¿cuáles han sido tus pilares y mayores desafíos a la hora de tener una conciliación laboral con el hogar?

Contar con el apoyo de mi esposo y de mi familia ha sido fundamental. En mi caso particular, a medida que ha ido creciendo mi familia también fueron creciendo mis responsabilidades cada vez más demandantes dentro de la empresa, y ha sido clave administrar bien el tiempo y priorizar tareas y actividades en función de los resultados que quiero alcanzar a nivel profesional para lograr un balance entre mi vida laboral y familiar. El recurso más escaso para mí es el tiempo, por lo que a diario procuro dar calidad de tiempo a mi familia, y durante los fines de semana me enfoco en vivir momentos con ellos, creando memorias y recuerdos de la niñez para mis hijos.   

Definitivamente, los mayores desafíos se presentan cuando realizo viajes de trabajo al exterior, donde por la diferencia de horarios y reuniones no siempre logro comunicarme oportunamente con mis hijos. Es en estos momentos, en que la tecnología ayuda mucho, y me apoyo en videos o mensajes de voz para que cuando tengan la oportunidad los escuchen y sepan que, a pesar de no estar físicamente juntos, cuentan conmigo. 

3.- Coméntanos Alegría, a lo largo de tu trayectoria profesional ¿cuáles considerarías tus más grandes logros y por qué?

Tengo 17 años trabajando en Dole en los cuales he ocupado cinco posiciones, y cada una de ellas ha tenido sus retos y logros específicos.  Considero que en parte los logros y metas alcanzadas se han debido a que mi crecimiento profesional se fue dando en paralelo con mayores niveles de madurez y de desarrollo en el plano personal, lo cual me ha permitido mantener el enfoque en lo importante en los diferentes contextos y situaciones que me ha tocado enfrentar laboralmente. En mis equipos de trabajo, me gusta empoderar, compartir conocimiento y estimular la búsqueda de nuevos aprendizajes.  Mi mayor satisfacción, sin duda, es ser testigo del crecimiento profesional de colaboradores que forman y que han formado parte de mis equipos de trabajo, porque dicho crecimiento también lo siento mío.
