EL TRABAJO DIGNIFICA A LA PERSONA

1.- Un país sostenible implica trabajo sobre las bases de la sociedad y una forma de hacerlo es comenzar reduciendo la brecha laboral que separa hombres y mujeres. Cuéntanos Sofía, ¿Cómo manejan Uds. este tema tan importante y de gran debate en la empresa?

Mall del Sol es una empresa que siempre ha creído en la equidad laboral. Hemos implementado importantes políticas para contribuir a la reducción de esa brecha, lo cual lo estamos consiguiendo. Por un lado, es importante destacar que la presidenta de la corporación Nobis es una Mujer, Isabelita Noboa, quien ha sido un ejemplo y referente en el mundo laboral del país. 

Hemos implementado facilidades para las mujeres, tanto las visitantes como nuestras colaboradoras, dentro de nuestras instalaciones como el Lactario, que será un espacio de encuentro y apoyo a las mamás en etapa de lactancia. 

Creemos firmemente en que hombre y mujer, trabajando juntos y complementándose, son un equipo que impulsa el sector empresarial de nuestro país. 

2.- Cómo profesional y mujer líder en tu sector, con una carga laboral importante y una responsabilidad demandante, ¿cuáles han sido tus pilares y mayores desafíos a la hora de tener una conciliación laboral con el hogar?

Para mí, el pilar principal en mi vida es mi familia, y uno debe tener bien claras sus prioridades. Saber que todo aquello que haga es para poder construir un mundo mejor para ellos.

Quisiera dejarles de enseñanza a mis hijos que el trabajo dignifica a la persona. Que vale la pena esforzarse. Que ellos siempre son primero y que lo más importante es el tiempo y los momentos que compartimos  juntos. 

Siempre es un desafío poder conciliar la vida laboral con la familiar, sobre todo para las mamás. El apoyo incondicional del entorno familiar ha sido parte de ese equilibrio. Crear o generar espacios de encuentro en nuestra casa, no es lo mismo estar en casa con el celular o la compu y no prestar atención a la familia, que llegar a casa y dedicarnos 100% a ellos. Eso es lo que creo que marca la diferencia. Las mamás somos 24/7.

3.- Coméntanos Sofía, a lo largo de tu trayectoria profesional ¿cuáles considerarías tus más grandes logros y por qué?

En lo personal sería el haber crecido en cuanto a mis conocimientos y experiencias, la satisfacción de haber conocido a tantos profesionales de los que he aprendido, clientes que me han manifestado su agradecimiento y conformidad con mi gestión  

En lo profesional es el haberme desarrollado dentro de un gran grupo empresarial, y poder llegar a puestos importantes donde tienes muchos retos y metas que cumplir.Y en lo institucional el poder estar tras bastidores en el proceso constante de innovar en las marcas que he trabajado. Tener la apertura de los directivos para poder plasmar y ejecutar las iniciativas por muy audaz o arriesgadas que sean. Lo importante de una buena idea es implementarlas y que sean sostenibles.
